Impressions From Yesterday's Kirbe

Gestern war wieder Kirbe in den Stadtteilen Mühlhausen, Mönchfeld und Freiberg. Örtliche Geschäfte und Vereine luden zum Kauf, zu Vorführungen und natürlich zu Essen und Trinken ein. Flohmärkte wurden abgehalten und zünftige Musik gespielt.

Annual Kirbe took place yesterday in Mühlhausen, Mönchfeld and Freiberg. Local shops and societies have invited to buying, performances and, of course, to eating and drinking. There were also flea markets and great music was performed.

Der Brunnen auf dem Marktplatz, zur Zeit eingebettet in das Weindorf.

This is the fountain at the Marktplatz in the city centre. It is embeded into the Wine Village in the moment.

Gut zu erkennen ist eine Stute mit ihrem saugenden Fohlen.
There are a mare with her sucking foal displayed on the column.

Die Künstler "Hans & Helmuth" sorgten mit ihrem Spiel und ihrem Gesang für die richtige Stimmung. Auf dem Spielplan stand natürlich Volksmusik. Da hätte ich gerne noch ein Viertele von dem Trollinger mit Lemberger getrunken...

The artists "Hans & Helmuth" have heat up the vibe with their play and vocals. Needless to say that there was folk music. If only I had taken a second glass of the fine Trollinger with Lemberger...

Wo wir schon bei Künstlern sind: Herr Schiller hat wohl den besten Überblick über diesen Teil des Weindorfes auf dem Schillerplatz.

Mr. Friedrich Schiller was also an artist. He has the best overview of this part of Wine Village at Schillerplatz.
