Der Eckensee mit Fontäne im Oberen Schlossgarten. Dieses Gewässer wurde 1961 anlässlich der Bundesgartenschau angelegt. Dabei wurde auch der Schlossgarten umgestaltet.
This is the Eckensee, a lake which is situated in the upper part of the Schlossgarten, in the centre of Stuttgart. This body of water was created in 1961 for the German Federal Garden Show. The Schlossgarten was rebuilt at the same time.

I guess those big jets are popular in a lot of cities. It's nice to have some watery areas. I bet the birds like it too!
Looks like a pleasant spot to spend a summer Sunday afternoon. Very nice!!
