Rosensteinsteg (links) und Wilhelmasteg oder Elefantensteg (rechts), wichtige und beliebte Übergänge bei Fußgängern und Radfahrern, wurden für das Bauprojekt Rosensteintunnel gekappt. Umwege müssen nun in Kauf genommen werden.

Rosensteigsteg on the left and Wilhelmasteg aka Elefantensteg on the right were important crossings and popular with pedestrians and cyclists. Now they are cut because of the construction project named Rosensteintunnel. Detours are inevitable.

Rosensteinpark, 1

Der Rosensteinpark ist hauptsächlich geprägt von Wiesen und Bäumen. Die Wiesen werden übrigens auch zur Futtergewinnung für die Tiere der angrenzenden Wilhelma genutzt.

The Rosensteinpark is mostly affected by grassland and trees. The grassland is used for feed extraction for the animals of the adjoining zoo named "Wilhelma".

The Last Shot

Zugegebenermaßen kein atemberaubender Aus-Blick. Aber er könnte bald Geschichte sein. Wegen des umstrittenen S21-Projektes sollen bald wieder Bäume fallen und die einmalige Holzbrücke für immer verschwinden.

It's admittedly not a breathtaking view. But it could be a part of history soon. Because of the contested S21-project many trees will fall again and the unique wooden footbridge will vanish forever into thin air.

Behind The Lion's Gate

Hinter dem Löwentor sieht es dann so aus. Der Rosensteinpark öffnet sich und lädt ein zu einem ausgedehnten Spaziergang. Von hier aus kann man zum Hauptbahnhof und zur Königsstraße und sogar noch weiter bis zum Charlottenplatz laufen.

Behind the gate you'll have this view. The Rosensteinpark opens up and invites you to a wide walk. From here you can walk to main station and the shopping street Königstraße and to the centre with its place Charlottenplatz.

Das ist der Eingang zum Rosensteinpark, in güldenen Lettern steht es auch über dem Löwen-Tor. Zu finden ist es schräg gegenüber von der Haltestelle ebenfalls mit Namen "Löwentor".

This is the entrance to the Rosensteinpark, the name is engraved with golden letters above that lion's gate (Löwentor). You can find this gate opposite the station named "Löwentor".

Stuttgart's Horses - No. Eight In A Series

Es war gar nicht so einfach, ein Bild zu machen, denn es war ganz schon windig und das Windspiel war ständig in Bewegung. Eine kurze Flaute hat mir aber dann doch endlich einen Gefallen getan.

It was not easy to make the photos of this wind chime. There was a strong wind blowing and the wind chime was on the move all the time. But I was able to use a short calm to make some shots.

Gleich am Rosensteinsteg steht dieses Windspiel. Ein Bank lädt zum Verweilen ein.

The wind chime is situated near a small bridge named "Rosensteinsteg". There is also a bench which invites to stay and to view.

It's Not A Volcanic Landscape

Diese Gelegenheit musste ich einfach nutzen. Wann sind schon so viele Wassersprudler in Betrieb? Die sogenannten "Berger Sprudler" befinden sich im Rosensteinpark und sind schon besondere Hingucker. Zur Zeit wird hier gebaut, deshalb stören auch Baugruben den wunderbaren Ausblick. Links im Hintergrund ist das SWR-Gebäude zu sehen.

I had to use this opportunity! The sputterers are actuated not every day! These eye-catchers are situated in the Rosensteinpark. There are some construction works in the moment. Therefore the pits spoil the beautiful view. In the background on the left you see one of the buildings of the broadcasting corpoation named "SWR".
