Im Norden von Stuttgart, an der Haltestelle Mittnachtstraße, befindet sich dieser geheimnisvolle Durchgang. Verschiedenfarbige Holzbalken sind kreuz und quer angeordnet und machen den Eingang zu einem besonderen Erlebnis.

There is a mystic passageway in the North of Stuttgart at the city railway station Mittnachtstraße. Variegated baulks are arranged higgledy-piggledy. So the entry becomes an outstanding experience.

Um ins Mönchfelder Schützenhaus zu gelangen, sollte man sich eine Machete oder eine Motorsense mitnehmen. Der Weg dorthin ist zur Zeit etwas zugewachsen.

Ich muss wohl nicht extra betonen, dass es sich hier um eine Kirchentür handelt. Wer genau hinschaut, wird das Schild an der Klinke bemerken. Da steht, zu meiner Freude, "OFFEN".

I haven't to point out extra that you see a church door. If you look closely you'll notice the sign at the doorknob. The sign says "OPEN". Isn't it a cause for joy?

Diese Türen oder Tore gehören zum Rathaus der Stadt Stuttgart. Das linke ist der Haupteingang des Gebäudes, die beiden anderen werden wohl als Ausgänge benutzt.

These doors are part of the town hall of Stuttgart. The left one is the main entrance of that building. The others are used possibly as exits.

This is the main portal of a school named "Technische Oberschule". It is a school where young people can get the advanced technical college entrance qualification or the subject-specific baccalaureate.

Hier geht es zur "Zaißerei", einem Weingut der Familie Zaiß. Als wir hier vorbeikamen, waren gerade Vorbereitungen für ein Fest im Gange. Wer mit dem Begriff "Freienstein" nichts anzufangen weiß - er bezieht auf die gleichnamige Burg, die sich hier mal befand und von der leider nichts mehr übrig ist.

This is the entrance to the "Zaißerei", the vineyard of the Zaiß family. There were some preparation works for a festival when we came along. Did you notice the term "Freienstein". Freienstein was a castle which was situated not far away from this winery. Today there is only a plate which informs you about this castle.

Das ist der Eingang zum Rosensteinpark, in güldenen Lettern steht es auch über dem Löwen-Tor. Zu finden ist es schräg gegenüber von der Haltestelle ebenfalls mit Namen "Löwentor".

This is the entrance to the Rosensteinpark, the name is engraved with golden letters above that lion's gate (Löwentor). You can find this gate opposite the station named "Löwentor".

Dieses leerstehende Gebäude in der Hohenzollernstraße hat etwas Besseres verdient. Leider wirkt der Eingang ziemlich ungepflegt und bedarf einer ordentlichen Renovierung.

This untenanted building situated on Hohenzollernstraße deserves something better than this. Unfortunately the doorway looks quite scruffy and needs a straight refurbishment.

Die farbenfrohen Glasscheiben des Eingangs sollten unbedingt vor Verfall oder Zerstörung geschützt werden.

Ein Nebeneingang des Neuen Schlosses im Stadtzentrum. Früher war das Neue Schloss Residenz der württembergischen Könige. Heute beherbergt es Finanz- und Kultusministerium, außerdem nutzt es die Landesregierung zu Repräsentationszwecken. Es gibt Führungen, an denen man teilnehmen kann und den "Weißen Saal" kann man auch für Feierlichkeiten mieten.

You see a side entrance of the New Castle in the city centre. Formerly it was residence of the Wuerttemberg kings. Today it is domicile of two departments. There are some interesting guided tours through the castle. It is also used for prestigious purposes by the government of the Land. You can rent the "White Hall" for festivities.

Dieser Raum (es ist nicht der "Weiße Saal") wartet auf Gäste. Hier finden diverse Empfänge statt. Dann ist der Raum voller Menschen. Ich konnte nur durch die Glastüre hindurch knippsen, deshalb auch die Spiegelungen.
