At The Tapach-Gärtner

Die Vereinsgaststätte "Tapach-Gärtner" in S-Rot war vergangenen Sonntag unser Ziel. Auf der großzügigen Terasse ließen wir es uns schmecken. Und auch hier war man freundlich und zuvorkommend.

The club house named "Tapach-Gärtner" in Rot was our place for luncheon last Sunday. We enjoyed a hearty meal on the large terrace. The service staff was friendly and courteous too.

Green Thumb

Die Vereinsgaststätte "Grüner Daumen" in S-Rot war gestern Ziel für unser Mittagessen. Und es hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Freundliche Bedienung und oberleckeres Essen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

The club house named "Grüner Daumen" is situated in Rot. Yesterday we have stoped here for a bite to eat. And it was worthwhile. Friendly service and super delicious meal. We'll gladly come back.

Holiday season has arrived in Rot.

Building Activity In Rot

Rot putzt sich heraus. In die Jahre gekommene Wohnhäuser wurden dem Erboden gleichgemacht und Baugruben ausgehoben. Und es wird fleißig gebaut. Das zweite Haus hinter der Tafel wird auch gerade entkernt und in Bälde abgerissen.  Ich frage mich nur, was aus den Bewohnern geworden ist. Werden sie hier wieder wohnen?

Rot prinks itself up. Dated apartment buildings were razed to the ground and building pits were diged. Building activities are hardly to be overlooked. The house behind the board on the first shot is gutted in the moment and it will be demolished in the near future. I wonder about the residents and their fates. If they will live here again?

Shopping In Rot

An der Haldenrainstraße in S-Rot befinden sich jede Menge kleiner Geschäfte. Zum Teil werden auch neue Mieter gesucht. Das Besondere ist, dass diese Läden sich nicht ebenerdig zur Straße befinden. So kann man sich beim Schaufensterbummel wie auf einem Laufsteg fühlen.

There are dozens of small shops on Haldenrainstraße in Rot. Some of them are looking for new lessees. The shops are not at the same level as the street. It's remarkable. So you can feel going on a catwalk while you go window shopping.

Nicht weit vom Balkon Nr. 1 befindet sich dieses Exemplar. Ebenfalls in Rot.

There is this exemplar not far from balcony no. 1. It's situated in Rot too.

Hier wurde allerdings eine Balkon- bzw. Terassengemeinschaft gebildet und sogar Gemüse angebaut.

The people have founded a balcony or patio community and they have even grown vegetables.

Stuttgart's Balconies - 1

Ein schattiges Plätzchen ist in Stuttgart gerade sehr begehrt. Ich meine, der Eigentümer dieses Balkons kann sich über fehlenden Schatten nicht beklagen.

Shadowy places are highly sought-after in the moment. I think the owner of the pictured balcony can't complain himself of unavailable shadow.

I Give You A Whole Field Of Sunflowers

Dieses Sonnenblumenfeld ist zwischen Freiberg und Rot, gleich an der Stadtbahnhaltestelle Himmelsleiter, zu bewundern.

This field of sunflowers is situated between Freiberg and Rot near the city railway station Himmelsleiter.

Wie man in die Jahre gekommene Wohnhäuser ordentlich aufmöbeln kann soll obiges Foto verdeutlichen. In S-Rot stehen bereits sanierte und noch auf eine Sanierung wartende Gebäude nebeneinander.

Felix In The Park

Felix has escorted me again for a short photo expedition in Rot. We walked across a small park between Rotweg and Haldenrainstraße. It was stone-cold and no other soul was in sight.

Die Hochhausgruppe "Romeo und Julia" in S-Rot wurde von dem deutschen Architekten Hans Scharoun entworfen und von 1954 bis 1959 realisiert. Vor dem Eingang des Hauses "Romeo" stehen Schaukästen mit vielen interessanten Informationen.

The ensemble of two high-risers named "Romeo and Juliet" is situated in Rot. It was designed by the German architect Mr. Hans Scharoun and built from 1954 to 1959. In front of "Romeo" there are two showcases with a lot of interesting informations.

The Look Back On The Cheese Church From Himmelsleiter

Blick zurück vom Gebäude der Deutschen Rentenversicherung an der Haltestelle Himmelsleiter auf die Auferstehungskirche (Käse-Kirche) in Rot.

This is a view to the "Cheese Church" in Rot. My position was beside the building of the "Deutsche Rentenversicherung" which is situated vis-à-vis the station "Himmelsleiter".

Fountains Of Stuttgart, No. 000014

Die Neugestaltung des kleinen Parks an der Haltestelle Fürfelder Straße in S-Rot wurde erst vor kurzem abgeschlossen. Dazu wurde auch dieser dreiteilige Brunnen installiert.

The redevelopment of this small park at station Fürfelder Straße in Rot was finished a short time ago. Now it has got a threepart fountain.

von oben nach unten: klein fängts an, dann eine mäßige Steigerung und zu guter Letzt ein Paradies für Kinder, die hier oft durchrennen

from the bottom up: at first there is a very small part, there is a moderate increase in the middle and in the end there is a paradise for the kiddies who love to run through the founains
