... I saw these wonderful signs. A small wooden bridge for pedestrians and cyclists was closed for all of them but opened for drivers? LOL.

Auf meinem Heimweg sah ich diese nette Beschilderung. Eine eigentlich nur für Fußgänger und Radfahrer vorgesehene (und zugelassene) Brücke wird gesperrt, aber für Autofahrer zugelassen? Hihi.

The Flying Eagles

Gleich neben der erbarmungswürdigen "Villa Berg" befindet sich diese Skulptur, die zwei fliegende Adler darstellt.

There is this sculpture even beside the pitiable "Villa Berg". It illustrates two flying eagles.

Oh Stuttgart

Die Villa Berg im Stadtteil Ost ist eines der vielen Kleinode in Stuttgart. Leider gammelt das wunderschöne Haus vor sich hin, keiner mag sich darum kümmern. Auch rundherum siehts nicht besser aus. Wenn das so weiter geht, steht hier bald nur noch eine Ruine. Ach Stuttgart....

The "Villa Berg" is situated in the East of Stuttgart and is one of our treasures. Unfortunately this wonderful building is just decaying along and nobody wants to look after it. The places around the villa don't look better. If nobody will stop it the villa could be a ruin soon. Oh Stuttgart....

Die Bemalung der Mauer passt hervorragend zum bepflanzten Grundstück.

The wall painting goes outstandingly with the planted plot.

The Unclosed Church

Das ist die evangelische Christuskirche in der Gänsheidestraße in S-Ost. Die Kirche wurde von 1954 bis 1955 von Sylvester Laible erbaut.

This is the Protestant church named Christuskirche. It is situated at Gänsheidestraße in the East of Stuttgart. The church was built from 1954 to 1955 by Mr. Sylvester Laible.

Ich muss wohl nicht extra betonen, dass es sich hier um eine Kirchentür handelt. Wer genau hinschaut, wird das Schild an der Klinke bemerken. Da steht, zu meiner Freude, "OFFEN".

I haven't to point out extra that you see a church door. If you look closely you'll notice the sign at the doorknob. The sign says "OPEN". Isn't it a cause for joy?

Fountains Of Stuttgart, No. 000026

Bilder vom Brunnen am Albrecht-Goes-Platz. Felix hat bemängelt, dass kleine Leute wie er so schlecht an den Wasserstrahl kämen. Keine Sorge, Felix, wir finden zugänglichere Brunnen.

Small Place For Small Talk

Das ist der Albrecht-Goes-Platz an der vielbefahrenen Gerokstraße. Albrecht Goes war Pfarrer und Schriftsteller. Er lebte von 1908 bis 2000. Der Platz selber hat jede Menge Bänke für die eine oder andere Plauderei zu bieten. Und der Brunnen mit seinen steinernen Bänken ist wahrlich ein Hingucker.

This small place is named after Albrecht Goes and is situated at the busy Gerokstraße. Mr. Goes was a priest and a writer and he lived from 1908 to 2000. The place offers a lot of benches for some interesting causeries. And the fountain which is framed by stony benches is really an eye-catcher.

A Busy But Also Lovely Street

Die Gerokstraße im Osten Richtung Stadteinwärts. Diese Straße ist ziemlich verkehrsreich, aber eine Fahrt mit der U15 lohnt sich wegen der herrlichen Aussicht auf die Stadt oder wegen die vielen schönen Häuser, die hier und in den Seitenstraßen stehen.

This is the Gerokstraße towards city centre. It's a quite busy street. But I can recommend a tour with the city railway line 15 to you because of the wonderful sight to the town. There are also many beautiful buildings on both sides of this streets and its byroads.

What Is He Looking For?

Dieser verwitterte Knabe schaut wohl dem morgigen Thementag "Bäckerei" erwartungsvoll entgegen. Gefunden habe ich das Kerlchen in der Richard-Wagner-Straße.

I Had To Climb These Steps To Photograph The Villa

An dem weitläufigen Gelände der Villa Reitzenstein vorbei verläuft dieses namenlose Stäffele zwischen Richard-Wagner-Straße und Gröberstraße.

There is a nameless stair beside the roomy property of the Villa Reitzenstein. The steps go from Richard-Wagner-Straße to Gröberstraße or vice versa.

The Famous Villa

The Street

Die Richard-Wagner-Straße ist eine vornehme Straße. Denn hier befinden sich viele vornehme Häuser und Villen. Das berühmteste Gebäude in dieser Straße ist die "Villa Reitzenstein", der Amtssitz des Baden-Württembergischen Ministerpräsidenten.

The Richard-Wagner-Straße is a noble street. There are many gorgeous houses and mansions. The most important building of this street is named "Villa Reitzenstein" and it is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg.

The Small Place

Die Wieland-Wagner-Höhe ist der Platz an der Richard-Wagner-Straße. Wenn man will, kann man aber auch Leuten bei der Gartenarbeit zuschauen. Denn direkt unterhalb der Mauer befinden sich ihre Grundstücke.

The small place which I've noted yesterday is named Wieland-Wagner-Höhe. You can enjoy the view but also watch people on gardening. Their properties are situated directly under the wall.

The Spring Lookout

An der Richard-Wagner-Straße gibt es einen kleinen Platzmit einer wunderbaren Aussicht auf Stuttgart.

There is a small place with a wonderful view to Stuttgart at Richard-Wagner-Straße.

The Friedenskirche

Das ist die Friedenskirche im Stuttgarter Osten. "Leider" ist es eine evangelische Kirche. Leider deshalb, weil evangelische Kirchen nicht immer geöffnet haben, um einen Blick ins Innere zu werfen. Interessant an dieser Kirche ist die Kombination von altem Turm und neuem Kirchenschiff. Geschmackssache!

This is the Protestant church named Friedenskirche in the East of Stuttgart. Protestant churches are not open all day. Therefore it is not possible to take a look at the inside. How do you think about the combination of old steeple and mordern nave? I think it's purely a matter of taste.
