Die Helle, die farbenfrohen Malereien und die lockere Bestuhlung machen diese Kirche zu einer fröhlich stimmenden."Fröhlich stimmend" war der erste Gedanke, der mir in den Sinn kam, als ich die Kirche betrat.

The lightness, the colourful paintings and the easy seating make this church to a happy-making one. "Happy-Making" was the first thought when I've entered the sanctuary.

This is a view through a courtyard entrance at Colmarer Straße. Why I've refered to this building as a happy-making or bright-provoking church? I'll let the cat out of the bag tomorrow.

Wieder eine evangelische Kirche. Diesmal in Zazenhausen. Es handelt sich hierbei um die Nazariuskirche.

It is a Protestant church again. This time in Zazenhausen. The church is called Nazariuskirche.

Early In The Morning

Ich wollte die Leonhardskirche schon immer mal am frühen Morgen bei blauem Himmel und Sonnenschein fotografieren. Nun habe ich es also getan. Das Ergebnis lässt sich sehen, gell?

I always wanted to shoot the Leonhardskirche in the early morning with blue sky and sunshine. Now I've done it. The results are even impressive, aren't they?

The 3rd Church

Als dritte Kirche in S-Münster möchte ich die evangelische Dreifaltigkeitskirche vorstellen. Ihr langer spitzer Turm ist sehr markant und schon von weitem gut zu erkennen.

This is the Protestant Trinity Church and the 3rd church in Münster which I want to present you. The high and pointed spire is very striking and you can realize it even from a distance.

Die katholische Kirche St. Ottilia muss man von allen Seiten betrachten, um sich ein rechtes Bild machen zu können. In der Tat eine vielseitige Kirche.

You have to look roundly at the Catholic church named St Ottilia if you want to get an idea of it. So it is a multisided church indeed.

The Church

Die katholische Kirche St. Bonifatius in Steinhaldenfeld macht vom Hopfenseeweg einen recht schüchteren Eindruck wie sie so hinter den Bäumen und Büschen hervorlugt.

The Catholic church named Saint Boniface is situated in Steinhaldenfeld. This is a view from Hopfenseeweg. The church looks outwardly shy because it peeps out from behind the trees and bushes.

Von der Zuckerbergstraße aus zeigt die Kirche dann doch ihr wahres Gesicht. Leider war mir der Zutritt zur Kirche wieder einmal nicht möglich. Ich werde aber versuchen, es nachzuholen. Obwohl ich keiner Konfession angehöre, bin ich doch recht gerne in Kirchen, weil sie immer Ruhe ausstrahlen und darüber hinaus Sommers wie Winters angenehm temperiert sind.

This is a view from Zuckerbegstraße. Now the church shows its true colours. Unfortunately there was no admittance. I'll ask for opening hours to visit this church again. Although I'm not religious I like to visit churches because they always radiate calmness. Moreover they're well-tempered in summer as in winter.

The Right View Of The Church

Die evangelische Hospitalkirche in der Stuttgarter Innenstadt ist umzingelt von schwerem Baugerät. Aber irgendwie trotz sie diesem Angriff standhaft.

This is the Protestant church named Hospitalkirche. It is situated in the city centre and encircled from heavy construction equipment in the moment. It looks like the church braves the attack unwaveringly.

Photos from inside the Christuskirche. The seemingly levitating wooden figure of Jesus Christ is the most impressive fitment. It's truly heavily symbolic.

Das ist die evangelische Christuskirche in der Gänsheidestraße in S-Ost. Die Kirche wurde von 1954 bis 1955 von Sylvester Laible erbaut.

This is the Protestant church named Christuskirche. It is situated at Gänsheidestraße in the East of Stuttgart. The church was built from 1954 to 1955 by Mr. Sylvester Laible.

Ich muss wohl nicht extra betonen, dass es sich hier um eine Kirchentür handelt. Wer genau hinschaut, wird das Schild an der Klinke bemerken. Da steht, zu meiner Freude, "OFFEN".

I haven't to point out extra that you see a church door. If you look closely you'll notice the sign at the doorknob. The sign says "OPEN". Isn't it a cause for joy?

Refreshment For Body And Soul

Obwohl die Kirche St. Martin eine katholische Kirche ist, war mir der Zugang verwehrt. Zu gern hätte ich mich im Innern dieses kleinen Kirchleins umgesehen. So hatte ich dann aber auch keine Lust (und auch keine Zeit) mehr zu einer Einkehr ins "Jägerstüble".

On the right there is the Catholic church named St. Martin. Unfortunately the entrance remained locked for me. I wanted to see the inside of this lovely small church. Therefore I had no mind to stop for a bite to drink in the tavern named "Jägerstüble".

The Friedenskirche

Das ist die Friedenskirche im Stuttgarter Osten. "Leider" ist es eine evangelische Kirche. Leider deshalb, weil evangelische Kirchen nicht immer geöffnet haben, um einen Blick ins Innere zu werfen. Interessant an dieser Kirche ist die Kombination von altem Turm und neuem Kirchenschiff. Geschmackssache!

This is the Protestant church named Friedenskirche in the East of Stuttgart. Protestant churches are not open all day. Therefore it is not possible to take a look at the inside. How do you think about the combination of old steeple and mordern nave? I think it's purely a matter of taste.

This is the Protestant church named Markuskirche. It was built from 1906 to 1908 by the builder Heinrich Dolmetsch. I want to show this building from different perspectives.

A Young Church

Believe it or not. This neo-baroque church was built from 1990 to 1995 and it is named St. Mariae Himmelfahrt. The churc is owned by the German division of the Society of St. Pius X.

Neighbours

This small chapel stays in the shadow of a great modern building. I hope they don't agree like cats and dogs.
