Wieso? Nun, heute werde ich eben so alt!
This sign at Jahnstraße in Stuttgart-Degerloch is always activated when a football match is went on in the Gazi stadium on the Waldau area. What a lucky chance for me! It is not easy to find a 40s sign which you can shoot in a safe way. You want to know why? Well, today I celebrate my 40th birthday.

Congratulations, Steffen! Jetz bisch also g'scheid! A much more positive outlook than "over the hill".
Do the keep the lower half of the sign up with the tape (top left), when it is not in use?
Congratulations. 60 mile per hour speed limits are common here won't find me taking pictures of the signs.
Steffen, congratulations and happy birthday today. You are still a young man, but it is perhaps not so funny to be on the road to 50 (as danes will tease each other with a smile).
I hope you are celebrated and enjoying it as well as good food and a bottle of German Riesling Beerenauslese from 1990. You were 20 at that time and such a wine could be called a reflection-wine. It is good to drink while thinking 20 years back and forth.
Happyhappyjoyjoy!
Ich bin mit 160 km auf dem "Autobahn" in Sweden in Juli gefahren! Gott sei dank, keine Polizei....
Happy birthday to you, dear blogfriend Steffen. 40 years, well I think you find the time running fast, and believe me so it will continue, faster and faster ;-)
Forty years eh - happy birthday - four times ten = forty not fourty - ah the vagaries of the english language - and i mean british english not the bastard american english - cheers - they used to say "life begins at 40" but I'm not sure they weren't kidding.
Happy birthday!
Darryl and Ruth : )
