Old Building With New Head

You see the building of the Stuttgart stock exchange. I noticed this striking frontage because of its successful mixture of old and new architecture. Sorry for the cut in the above part of the photo. I've done my very best ...

This is a wonderful combination of old and new which works well in this situation.

It gives it such a strange look.

That's very striking...almost bizarre. And at the top they have put fencing to keep away burglars and thieves?

Sorry, Steffen, this is a great photo but the building doesn't work for me...I think they should have continued with the old architecture.

I sort of like it. It does make a nice mix of old and new.

It's strange, but I actually like it. And it looks like it has spikes on top of its head too.

It is interesting to see the contrast of old and new like this. I'm not sure I care for it much but it is interesting. I started to say blending of old and new but they don't blend. The effect is somewhat jarring. But what do I know? In the US the old would have been torn down and replaced with all new. You have more respect for your history there.

Never seen that before - in Denmark "uplarged" buildings are not made that interesting.

Very interesting. They do this a lot in Sydney too but this is quite superb.
