That's the emergency telephone number (not only) in Germany.

Interesting that it is 112. Our emergency number is 911.

Our number is 911. And our trucks are usually bright red. Otherwise, the operation looks the same.

Is Feuerwache local language? Feuerwehr is the word I know. This is Feuerwache 1 Süd - how many stations do you have in Stuttgart?

Really? Ours is 911. Elsewhere it's 999-- England, I think. I hope those emergency vehicles have an easy way to exit quickly!

Hello Jorgen, "Feuerwache" is a German word, it means firehouse or fire-station. There are 5 stations of the professional fire brigade, but also 25 divisions of the auxiliary fire brigade.
