Uncaged Lovely Small Church

This lovely small church, the Old Church of Hedelfingen, was nearly obscured by a building and trees. Now the building is demolishd and you can marvel at the fane. We are in Stuttgart and this church reminds me of a small village church. This idea is not so far off. The oldest parts of this church are more than 700 years old. At this time Hedelfingen was still a village.

Wow! They built things to last then.

700 years? Omigod, that's older than I am! :-)

Is it still in use?

Re your comment on Florida Fotos...no fooling this time; that's a real gator...I took the photo from a walkway over the swamp.

Nice clean classic lines. Why do councils of today have to put bright coloured bins etc near beautiful old buildings - a colour which doesn't stand out would be far nicer.
