Springtime is fountain time. There were surprisingly many fountains out of order at the beginning of May. Like the pictured fountain at Bihlplatz in Heslach. But now water is flowing leisurely. Many people stock up here on fresh drinking water.
Zwei Details des Brunnens. Two details of the Bihlplatz fountain.

I'd NEVER see such a fancy water fountain like that over here! Lucky Germans!
I really do like fountains!
Nice fountain - and it giving water. They could something in the good old days when a fountain like this was made.
Have a nice day at work and in the garden...
These are really neat! Can you drink the water?
How neat! Is the water from a well? And why do people need to stock up on drinking water?
Very fine photos - excellent exposure and composition!
Nice fountain indeed, I like the details. Does it provide different water than what people would get from the tap?
And what are the colourful strips top right?
Thank you for your comments.
Yes, it's drinking water. There isn't any prohibition sign. Stuttgart has many wells and I must presume that the water from the Bihlplatz fountain is from a well too. I think many people use the water for drinking or watering their plants. I've never tasted this water, I should do it.
The colourful stripes are from our maypole. Please look my post from May 02, 2010 (Heslach Hocketse #1) too see the complete maypole.
Just been looking at your set of fountains and this one is I think my favourite.
