Bon Voyage!

Arrival of the ICE 1090 from Munich. After a short stop it will go on to Berlin. The train changes its direction of travel because Stuttgart still has a dead-end station. Sensitive passengers should change their seats.

A fabulous train. I've been on such a train from Paris to Dresden and Prague a few years ago. Nothing in the world compares with European trains. Here they're a joke.

Ah, Steffen, great photos! They jog my memory. We have done lots of miles by ICE, but alas, not since last century.

You must be anxious to travel as you have has several travel/on the go photos lately. Lines of perspective also feature prominently over the last few photos, something I need to do more often!

I have never taken the train in Germany. Only used a car.

I like trains - and hope to go on some senior interrails in the future.

I wish we had better train service in the US. We have something along these lines in the Washington - Philadelphia - New York - Boston corridor but nowhere else. It takes 5.5 hours by train to get to Kansas City across our state from St. Louis. I can drive there in four hours.

Some day I want to ride the TGV. I've been on the Shinkansen in Japan several times and it's a lot of fun.
